Q: What type of license do I need to dispense from my office?
A: In most states, all you need is a DEA license and a State Medical license. There are a few exceptions.
 
Q: What is AWP?
A: AWP (Average Wholesale Price) is set by the manufacturer and is the standard price used by Worker’s Compensation for reimbursement.
 
Q: Do physician’s clinics have to keep a large supply of medications?
A: We recommend maintaining at least a 2 week supply.
 
Q: How does the clinic store medications?
A: All you need is a locked cabinet or drawer. If you are carrying controlled medication, they must be stored behind a double lock. We will order for you.
 
Q: Does the physician have additional liabilities?
A: Physicians carry the same liability that they would if they were to write a prescription.
 
Q: How do we bill for the medications?
A: Keltman will provide clinic with billing information for the respective state.
